Boston and NYC

We joined about half of Jonah's family for a little trip to Boston and New York City to be with Charity, Jonah's youngest sibling, as she went to the Temple for the first time. Although we were freezing for most of the time, we had a great time and were so lucky to be with Charity during the momentous occasion. Check out ChiChi's and Ricky and Linda's blog for more great pictures.

We left Cam at home with my mom for a few days, and then with my dad in Vegas. It was such a treat to have Ana alone with us, without Cam. We flew into Manchester, and Jonah's sister Saydi picked us up and we stayed at her house in Malden, a suburb of Boston. We drove out to Wellesley and saw Charity's stomping ground for the last time (she finished her last work to graduate TODAY). Ana loved kicking, throwing, and eating the snow out there. Here she is with Saydi's totally 100% awesome son Charlie.

Charity's dorm room.

Charity scored us a visit to the top of the Wellesley bell tower!

The next day, we took the girls to the Museum of Science in Boston. I can't believe this is Elsie's first view of chicks. I need to readjust my life!

After our day at the Temple, we took Ana to a concert at my Alma Mater, Harvard. It was SO weird, because everybody there looks EXACTLY the same as when I was there. I kept thinking I was in time warp. Jonah kept leaning over to me and saying, "Isn't that one of your friends from Junior year?" And I was like, "Whoa. No, but it might be their robotic twin!" Ana wasn't that impressed with the concert, or the school, but she did LOVE the snow in Harvard Yard. She also borrowed some of cousin Hazel's dress-up clothes, which made all the Harvard Freshwomen ohh and ahhh and "she's so cute".

Yes, we had gloves on.

NYC Subway.
We were only in Boston for about 50 hours, and then we took a Chinatown bus down to NYC. It was hilarious going on the bus for four hours with all the Eyres. We ALL stayed at Jonah's brother Noah's tiny but beautiful apartment on the Upper East Side, and it was thankfully a little warmer in NYC.

On the lookout for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Uncle Tal also lives in NYC.

We got to go to the NYC Temple also. That gorgeous blond is Tal's girlfriend Sara.
The gorgeous girl in the red pashmina scarf is Charity.
The guy with the poofy jacket is Tal.

Elsie didn't leave the apartment very much while we were there. She had a great time though.

We tromped down Fifth Avenue and admired all the toy stores, window displays, and Christmas decorations.

Rockefeller Center.

Ana's theme for the vacation was, "Hot Cocoa! Hot Cocoa!" And, "Can we take a Taxi?"

Noah and Kristi's apartment.
Thanks to all the Eyres for the hospitality and fabulous trip.

Wish we could have been there. Miss you guys. I hope we get to see you this week and don't get snowed in! I'm so jealous you are flying.
