October. What a month. Had some fun festivities. 10-Year Reunion... Visitors...Trip to Tennessee...Reflections Art Competition at the school (don't ask)...My big 29th...Camden's soccer games... AND THEN, on the 31st... NEVADA DAY! (Oh, and it was Halloween).
Elsie wanted to get in on the 4-costumes-a-year action like Ana, but only made a brief appearance as a zebra, and then opted to stick with the warm-weather (warmest Halloween I ever remember) appropriate Cabbage Patch Doll.
We had a number of people ask where we got this AWESOME TMNT costume. Thanks to the Grace Family, we got it in the mail from Cam's home country!
Ana in another costume with her "best friend" Jessica.
Ah, here she is as Megan, human friend of the My Little Ponies. We are all toys from the 80s. Jonah is a SMURF, I am She-Ra, Princess of Power (look it up on YouTube), Cam is a Teenage Mutant Ninka Turtle, and Elsie is a Cabbage Patch Doll. If you have no idea what any of these are, you are either one of our international friends (although we've been unable to stump any of them), you are too young, or you slept through every Saturday morning of the 1980s.
This is how I feel Saturday mornings because we don't have any TV channels and so I don't get to sleep in.
Ana did a great job sketching what everyone's jack-o-lantern should look like. She didn't anticipate us using the saws-all and the power drill to get those perfect circles on Elsie's eyes and silence-of-the-lambs-o-lantern's mouth. She was quite pleased with the power tools in the end, as were we. If only there was a quick way to clean out the innards...

Love the She-Ra costume--she was my idol.
LOVE it guys ... this is Shawni who Char calls the "comment queen" and I agree. We're sitting here together having fun looking at your pictures. Love you guys.
I love the costumes! Your kids are getting so big! How is three? Is it crazy?
Love your costumes. Aahhhh the 80's. Good times. And why are you denying yourself Saturday sleep and your children Saturday morning cartoons? We need to remedy that. We need to visit you guys too! :) Amy & Eric
I NEVER had a child who would keep even a hat on their heads for 3 seconds. Elsie is amazing! Camden's dance is classic! So great to have it as a permanent record in this blog. Loved Ana's plethora of costumes. Nothing could make that child look anything but adorable! Plus, we were at a big Humanitarian dinner last night and the cousins couldn't quit talking about how amazing Aja looks! Jonah, you're cute too!
The pumpkins are spectacular!!!
Love,
Mom/Linda
