Swim, Supercam and Wigs

First of all, the kids finished their swim lessons. We had a great lady from my old ward come give private lessons to our kids, the Loosli kids, and a few other friends right here in our neighborhood pool. It was great being able to just walk down to swim lessons. Plus, Aniston learned a TON in her lessons, and Cam, well... Cam got over his fear of having his head dunked under and his fear of Lisa (the teacher).

We also played "Crocodile Hunter" at Jonah's job today. He called me this morning to let me know that he had found a baby rattlesnake in the garage of the house he's building, but not to worry, because he had chopped off his head with a tile. The kids and I took him some stuff later in the day just in time to watch the frantic mama bird try to get into the house to feed her baby birds in the nest she built on top of an interior stone wall. They turned on the A/C at the house today, so they had to close all the doors. Jonah had waited as long as he could and he finally had to send the babies out. We went up to take a final picture of them before he put on the gloves and grabbed them, when lo and behold! they flew away!!! Unfortunately, there were no open doors, so we then had to catch three baby fluttering birds and help them outside. Good luck little beauties!

Camden also killed us with laughter tonight when he put on Jonah's old Superman/Batman cape and proceeded to make muscle poses and jump off of everything in the house. I guess those "Jonah" genes run strong. And a note: Camden has been 100% potty-trained since the day after we got to New Zealand! Aniston's final potty-training push happened the same way. We're going to write a book, "How to Travel the World and Potty-Train Your Child at the Same Time" or "Trade Your Diapers for Passports".

Elsie killed us with laughter when we tried to see what she would look like with hair. She may be a blondie like her brother and sister.

But I also think the Cher look is a nice one for her.

Aniston asked me today, "why the heck do we have hair anyway? Did those guys give it to us just so it would get in our eyes?" She asks me EVERY day if I'll let her shave her head.

But Elsie's hair is most likely going to be bright red by the looks of these shots:What a beauty. See you soon.
