Artichokes

We had a great weekend visit to Salt Lake this last weekend. We left three hours later than we had planned on Friday afternoon, which I was a bit-a-lot disgruntled about...but, it was serendipitous because we called Tal (Jonah's bro) on the way up and said, "where you at...we're at mile 183" he said, "i'm at mile 182!" So, we pulled over and Jonah and Aniston rode with him to Provo, where we met up with Jonah's sister Charity. it was a caravan in true Eyrealm style.

At the gas station where the three cars all met up.

Elsie was so glad to see everyone and LOVED all the attention she got from her aunt, uncle and grandparents. She actually slept through the night for two nights in a row while we were there because she was so exhausted from all the attention and social interaction. What a gal.

This is a borrowed dress from Kristi's wedding that we found in the downstairs closet.

Tal and Charity only stayed one night, but not before I showed them the Mom Jeans Video.

Just kidding... but I'm not going to tell you what we were looking at. It was great.

The reason for the season was Mark and Wendy's wedding. Mark is an old dear friend from Las Vegas and we HAD to go celebrate him finally finding Wendy. It was an AMAZINGLY beautiful wedding. Good job Mark.

This Cam is a great kid. Notice the hair. And the eyrteeth.

Aniston loves garden receptions.

Back at Grammy and Grandfather's house, the kids got crazy with the giant bubble machine in the back yard. Also attempted some family photos.

Elsie LOVED Aniston's old exersaucer that was at Grammy's house.

And of course, I took the kids to the zoo. Blake (my step-brother, 11 years old) stayed with the kids and me at Grammy and Grandfather's house and we went to the zoo on Saturday evening AND Monday afternoon (had to go see the Birds of Flight show). I love going to the zoo, and the kids are starting to love it more and more (they love it, but mostly because they get to run around... they are finally loving seeing the animals too). Jonah went home Monday morning with Tal (Tal had flown to Boston for the weekend) and I had to stay for a meeting in SLC, so this morning (Tuesday) I got up too early and drove home with the kids and Blake. Glad to be home, but we had a great trip.

Camden's hair was getting quite unmanageable in the summer heat, so he let us buzz it off! Finally, he just broke down and let us do it. He was like, "they are going to bug me every day of my life if I don't let them cut my hair"... anyway, he was REALLY worried that the haircut would take away his strength. But, it didn't, and he's quite proud of his new "daddy haircut". Don't worry you lovelocks out there...we'll grow it long again for winter.
