Happy Birthday

Ana's Sixth Birthday Party. It was ON her actual birthday this year. It was a crazy-as, fun, a few kids I didn't know party. The pool party had only 15 kids for the first hour, and then all of a sudden, it ballooned to 25. Aniston had a GREAT time. We played "missile" (pool game from my childhood), "musical duckies", "pin the tail on the burro", and "crazy monkey face PINATA!" We had lots of yummy treats, the favorite of which were the Cheetos. I also made 48 cupcakes and we are still eating them four days later.

Ana asked me five months ago if she could have a Scooby Doo party, and I said over my dead party. So, she asked for an "animal" party. We morphed it into a "Party Animal" party, complete with professional cake decorations. Ana told me today that I make the best cakes in the world! I have to admit, I HATE cake, but they are pretty good with those $.88 cake mixes.

This girl is the sister of a girl I don't know who came to the party. The more the merrier. Luckily, I reinforced the pinata with duct tape and eight layers of paper mache and gave them a nerf bat, so it lasted for two turns each kid. Jonah loved when they started chanting, "Hit it in the head, hit it in the head!"

Cam used his floaties as muscles and a special light saber/He-man whacking action.

Ana's b-day tradition is going bowling, so after the pool party, we went to the Pizza Factory and then dragged our exhausted selves to the bowling alley with my mom and her family. The kids have made huge improvements since the last time we went bowling... which was Ana's fifth b-day.
